As Managing Director of ICARO Holding, Thomas focuses on ICARO’s innovation and technology strategy, and supports ICARO clients in strategic product development and information technology activities.
Following graduation in 1985, Thomas was employed by Elektrogerätebau GmbH, a large German SAP client, where he was responsible for the implementation of SAP RP, the mainframe version of SAP’s HR module. In 1990 he subsequently joined SAP in Walldorf, Germany. He quickly became a leading human resources premium
consultant and was one of the first client relations managers for SAP R/3 HR clients.
Thomas was also closely involved in the development of SAP R/3 HR and was responsible for the very first implementation of SAP’s R/3 HR product.
In October 1994, Thomas co-founded BKC, which subsequently merged with the UK based Access Consulting in 2000 to become Pecaso. Thomas became the Chief Information and Chief Technology Officer for Pecaso embracing responsibility for Pecaso’s innovation strategy and product business.
In 2006, Accenture acquired Pecaso in order to invigorate its HR-IT services business and founded Accenture Human Capital Management Solutions (HCMS). In 2007 Thomas was given the task of leading the newly created Accenture Industry Solution Center in Heidelberg, focusing on the development and sales of Accenture’s SAP software products and assets.
In 2010 Thomas left Accenture to pursue new opportunities. Within Virtual Forge, an active ICARO investment specializing in software security in the SAP space, he acts as a Managing Director and is responsible for product management, consulting services and IT Infrastructure.
