20.05.2012As Managing Director of ICARO Holding, Martin’s focus is on ICARO’s business development and the support of ICARO clients in strategic and general business management activities.
Following his graduation in 1986, Martin joined SAP in Walldorf, Germany where he was one of the original development managers for the SAP HCM module. Subsequent roles included responsibility for SAP's North American HCM development team and SAP's HCM pre-sales and sales activities for large key client accounts in Germany. During his time at SAP, Martin was a regular lecturer for the SAP Management Forum and became a sought-after source and authority on HCM for the specialist media.
In October 1994, Martin co-founded BKC, which subsequently merged with UK-based Access Consulting in 2000 to become Pecaso.
Martin became the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Pecaso in 2002. Under his direction Pecaso quickly became one of the largest, most successful and highly respected HR-IT consulting companies in Europe and the US.
In 2006, Accenture acquired Pecaso in order to boost the expertise in its HR-IT services business, founding the Accenture Human Capital Management Solutions (HCMS) practice. As Global Managing Director, Martin was charged with leading this practice specializing in consulting, system integration services and proprietary software products for clients’ payroll, Talent Management and HR functions based on all major software platforms. Under Martin’s guidance, the business practice became very successful and delivered significant growth, quickly earning Martin a place on the leadership team for Accenture’s System Integration Consulting practice.
In 2010 Martin left Accenture to pursue new opportunities and co-founded the ICARO Holding organization.
Beneath his activities for ICARO, Martin acts as an strategic advisor for ISIS Equity Partners, a well known private equity firm based in London (UK), to support their investments in pan-European or global Information Technology companies.
Martin has spent a significant part of his business career in the UK and the US.
